The New Normal (Covid-19)
Life amid Pandemic
The new normal
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global health crisis on January 30, 2020.
As people are the most vulnerable to this virus, the pandemic has changed the lives of billions. The whole world was in total shock. It created an enormous chaos where people started to panic and fear getting inflicted by the deadly virus, COVID-19.
When the news reported the global health crisis, different countries in the world started to take action. The lockdown was lifted and health protocols were implemented. Some questioned the new rules, and some just followed them. So, what are the changes that this pandemic has brought to people or the New Normal?

As one of the implemented protocols, people should maintain enough distance to prevent the virus from spreading.
2. Wash Your Hands Frequently
People washed their hands before the virus spread, but not in the same way that people now wash their hands. It’s pretty much becoming a good habit.
3. Hand Sanitizer
People on the street have their own hand sanitizer. Best when washing your hands isn’t possible. 4. Wearing masks and face shields
Masks are likely suffocating people, especially because you need to wear them close enough. Those with breathing issues can’t really take this, especially those with asthma. Now it has a lot of designs and is trendy.
5. No gatherings
As social distancing is being implemented, gatherings are not allowed. Parties, on many occasions, are only possible with a limited number of people or just within the family.
6. Online or Modular Class
When the pandemic started, most schools decided to have an online class and some other schools chose modular or printed materials so as not to risk the health of their students and teachers, and at the same time, they could still learn at their respective homes.
Finally, it seems that there were lots of changes from the beginning of this pandemic until this very day, and those weren’t just the changes, but there were a lot. It has both advantages and disadvantages, but still, we slowly became accustomed to these changes and were able to conform to this new normal that not just oneself is affected but the global world. Despite all of this, the frontliners, leaders, parents, and all the people are doing their best to survive and protect the people and their loved ones. Let’s continue to follow the protocols and keep safe.
